The Drek Happens team consists of five nerds who love sharing the highlights and memorable moments of our tabletop shadowrun adventures. Our goal is to produce an entertaining podcast for anyone who appreciates good stories – whether you’re a veteran Shadowrun player or someone who has never heard of this game. New episodes will be released on the 2nd of every month.
Meet the Team
Mike
In real-life, Mike is a corporate communications professional in Silicon Valley. He enjoys torturing his friends as the evil Game Master #NeverTrustMikey and producing the Drek Happens podcast.
Real-Life Fun Fact: Although I’m in my 40’s, I still get carded for Rated-R movies.
How I Discovered Shadowrun: I played the SNES and Genesis games. In 2000, I read Shadowrun fan fiction from the late Shapcano and fell in love. In 2001, I finally played the tabletop game (3rd edition) with Demian and Rozzie.
Real-Life Bucket List Item: Watching Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter with my twins (currently age 8) someday. And then the real treat: teach them how to run the shadows.
Roz / Rozzie
In real-life, Rozzie is a web developer in Silicon Valley and a servant to a cat named Liath :3 She is also the illustrator and visual designer for Drek Happens Season 1 cover art and website visuals.

Real-Life Fun Fact: I will drop almost anything for some form of noodle soup… or affogato… or pearl tea… or dim sum ^_^;;
How I Discovered Shadowrun: I believe it was Mike and Demian that pulled me into Shadowrun.
Real-Life Bucket List: I participated in NaNoWriMo last year and really want to translate the results in to a graphic novel one of these days.
Tim
In real-life, we have no idea what Tim does in Texas but he said he’s an Adept Guru and Master of the Mystics. Tim constantly reads Shadowrun edition source books and is our go-to Shadowrun Game Mechanics expert.

How I Discovered Shadowrun: Weird friends. I mean, Jason invited me in August 2017 and this is my very first experience with Shadowrun.

Jason / Jay
In real-life, Jason is a release manager (aka gatekeeper of software releases) for his company in the Bay Area, California.

Real-Life Fun Fact: I love being in combat (sparring). Unfortunately, this was all BC (before children).

In real-life, Demian is a front-end decker in Silicon Valley. He also created and designed the Drek Happens web site.

How I Discovered Shadowrun: In college we had our weekly D&D sessions and wanted to try something different so that’s where we discovered Shadowrun.
Real-Life Bucket List: Travel and stay at every Four Season in the world (Demian stole this idea from his wife).
